Uruguay
We didn’t know what to expect when we came to Uruguay. What we found were beautiful beaches, colonial cities, a laid-back atmosphere and great surf!
So we spent 15 incredible days in the smallest country of all of South America and stayed in Colonia del Sacramento, Punta del Este, La Paloma and Punta del Diablo.
It’s autumn time now in Uruguay and except for two rainy days, we had beautiful sunshine whilst it was never too hot. Water temperatures were around 20°C and surfing was perfectly fine wearing a shorty. Especially in coastal towns it was obvious that the season was over, there weren’t many tourists around. So accomodation was pretty cheap but lots of restaurants and shops were shut down. Peak season here starts in December and goes through until February.
